Responsibilities
- To establish and maintain a comprehensive hand and reconstructive microsurgical services at the practice, including pre-placement examinations, insurance/workman compensation management, and supervision of clinical activities.
- On the basis of medical and medico-administrative to formulate medical management programs for pre /post operative profiles.
- To promote and advise on health and safety related issues, including environmental and occupational health matters as well as ergonometric advice.
- To establish a preventative health and employee assistance programme for staff.
- To ensure compliance with the standards and requirements of the Centre’s Medical Service.
- To liaise with the management as well as with health insurance providers and medical specialists of other international organisations in the region.
- Involvement in program development, research initiatives, medical student education and academic publications.
Competencies
- Clinical expertise in Hand and upper extremity – Maintains clinical skills to a level required for performing hand examinations, walk-in consultations, and pre-hospital management of on-site hand emergencies.
- Versed in modern concepts of occupational and evidence based medicine in private practice.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Doctor of Medicine (MBBS) with current registration in country of origin or practice. Fellowship training in microvascular hand surgery as a condition of employment.
Work Experience
Minimum of 8 years of practical experience, preferably in an international environment. Knowledge of the Singapore health care system a definite asset. Experience in the administration of health care programmes desirable.
Languages
English is the working language of the CHARMS. For the post advertised fluency in oral and written English is required. Working knowledge of Chinese and Bahasa Indonesia are desirable.
